Lake Moxie Camps is located on beautiful 9 mile Lake Moxie. It is a traditional Maine’s sporting camps from a time gone by. Lake Moxie Camps offers comfortable lakeside cabins “Camps”,  Lake Moxie House rentals, The Moxie Barn group cabin, platform tents,  and lakeside camp sites.   Moxie Outdoor Adventures and Lake Moxie Camps are located in the heart of Maine’s great wilderness. We provide you with free canoe and kayak rentals to enjoy the lake. Our traditional Maine lodge and screened in porch are open all night. The Camp is just minutes from Moxie Falls, Wyman Lake, Moosehead Lake, Greenville Maine and the Appalachian trail. Staying with us on the Lake Moxie allows you to enjoy the Maine you have been looking for. Wildlife abounds and it is quite common to see loons, eagles and the mighty Maine Moose.

Moxie Outdoor Adventures is only eight miles from the whitewater rafting put-in for the Kennebec River and a short drive to the Dead River. This allows you a leisurely morning prior to your raft trip. Check in times for rafting are as late as 9:30 when you stay with us at Lake Moxie Camps.

The Lake House

The Lake House is located on the shores of Lake Moxie and offers spectacular views of the lake through its large glass windows. The Lake House can comfortably sleep 15 people. The house has a full bathroom, half kitchen, charcoal grill a large porch with lake views and a large campfire pit. This beautiful cabin has a private dock with access to canoes or kayaks free of charge. The Lake House is just a short walk to the Kennebec and Dead River rafting check-in.

New 2011 The Lake Moxie Barn

Available to rent for  our neighbor is a renovated 1930′s logging barn just off the Lake Moxie Camps property. The Moxie Barn is now a beautiful cabin that can sleep up to 14 people.  It has three private bedrooms, two bathrooms, large deck and campfire area. Perfect for groups and families. You are just a short walk from the lake and the river trip check-in. Free canoe and kayak rentals are available for use on Lake Moxie.

“Traditional Maine Cabins Camps”

Comfortable “Camps” from days gone by.  These cabins or camps as they are called in Maine were built in the late 1920′s for travelers and sportsman coming on the trains from Boston and New York. They  all have been renovated and offer a comfortable alternative to camping or platform tents.  Each camp has electricity and heat, four double bunks with linens, porch with chairs a camp fire pit and  picnic table. They can sleep up to eight and including canoe and kayak rentals for use on Lake Moxie.

Accomodation

Platform tents are a comfortable alternative to traditional camping.  Platform tents have wooden fronts, bunk beds with matresses, electricity and sleep two to eight people.  Each tent has a fire pit and picnic table.  $22.00 per person and include free canoe and kayak rentals.

Lake Moxie Campsites beautiful lake side camping $12.00 per person per night.

Campsites are available lakeside or in our upper field.  All campsites include a fire pit, picnic table and free canoe and kayak rentals to use on Lake Moxie

 Holly Brook Farm  Private home rental

Holly Brook Farm

Built in the 1830 along the Kennebec River in the this farms house was moved to it’s present location when the built Wyman Dam and flooded the Kennebec River.  The house now sits across the road from the Kennebec River.  Holly Brook farms offers all the amenities needed to host a large group including a full kitchen, large gathering and dining area with walk out deck. Laundry room and bath off kitchen.  The house offers a right-of-way to Kennebec River for fishing and boating abutts the FAST Trail a ten mile bike and hike trail and is with -in walking distance of restaurants and a brew pub. Minutes from Moxie Outdoor Adventure Kennebec and Dead River bases.

The Dead River House

Come and relax in this beautiful riverside lodge built built by Pete Dostie. Located on the Dead River in the peaceful town of the West Forks Maine .                                        This river side home is perfect for, family vacations, individuals, and groups of all sizes.

River House The River House Lodge sits less than 50′ from the famous Dead River. The River House offers 4 bedrooms rooms with 2 private baths and 1 shared bath. Each room has a queen/king bed and 2 twins. Families and groups love to take the entire house and have its exclusive use, sleeps up to 18 people. You’ll love the cozy pine interior, open and spacious layout with walls of glass for serene views of the Dead River. Enjoy a Maine campfire at the riverside. Relax in front of a Flat screen TV & DVD player, play horseshoes in the backyard, or float downstream in one of our funyak canoe or kayak rentals
